Luis Raúl Barajas Villarruel
Raúl´s research project falls on the field of fractional calculus. He is working on the definition of fractional models for high-order chemical kinetics. The potential applications of his work involve any catalytic heterogeneous reaction system.
Ana Rosa Ramón Hernández
Ana Rosa is trying to develop a hybrid approach, where machine learning tools are implemented to predict the parameters required for a mathematical programing model; the model involves a large time horizon planning model.
Roberto Verduzco Vázquez
Roberto is developing a chain supply optimization model of drugs used for cancer treatment. The conceptual design involves a macroscopic system as complicated as a whole country. The chain supply in Mexico is being used as a case study.
Wendy Guadalupe Flores Guerrero
The reverse in progress and the persistently high levels of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition in recent years have taken the world off track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, end hunger, food insecurity and all forms of malnutrition by 2030. Wendy is formulating mathematical programming models for optimizing food production and the use of resources in order to guide public policies in the face of food insecurity conditions.
Sergio Damián Vázquez
Sergio is a posdoctoral fellow at the Department of Chemical Engineering. His current research interest lies on molecular dynamics, fractional calculus and machine learning.
